1. PAPER FORMAT
Authors of accepted papers should prepare and submit the final
camera-ready paper by April 20, 2005 (final paper
submission deadline). Please make all the required corrections
before submitting the final version, proofread and check the layout
of the manuscript.
The final version will be reviewed by one person in order to
assure that the required changes have indeed been included and
that the paper conforms to the final submission guidelines.
Papers should adhere to the standard IEEE double-column format
for conferences (see template below). The paper length is limited
to eight (8) pages (no exceptions). Please double-check the paper
size in your page setup to make sure you are using the A4
size paper layout (210 x 297mm).
The following style files and templates are available for preparing
the paper:
LaTeX template file (cls, bst,
as well as sample tex and pdf files)
a sample PDF file (obtained by using the "IEEEtran.cls" and
"IEEEtran.bst") with detailed instructions for paper formatting
|
|
Word 97/2000/XP/2003 template file (doc
and pdf)
a sample file with correct formatting and fonts with instructions
for paper formatting |
|
Instructions are provided as part of the archive.
Authors must submit their final paper in Portable Document
Format (PDF).
Postscript files may be converted to PDF by using Acrobat
Distiller or Ghostview/Ghostcript.
Both LaTeX and MS Word users can convert
their papers directly from source to PDF by using the IEEE PDF
eXpress™ Conversion function (strongly recommended;
see detailed instructions below).
MS Word users may also use Create
Adobe PDF Online, a free service that can convert MS Word
to PDF.
2. PDF CONFORMANCE
IEEE is very strict about the requirements for
converting application files or PostScript files to full text
PDF for inclusion in IEEE Xplore®. The instructions on how
to produce a conformant PDF file are given below.

Requirements for Creating PDF Files for IEEE Xplore) |

your file(s) by using IEEE PDF eXpress™ (recommended) |

the above works) |

To facilitate the PDF conformance checking or
to create a PDF file conforming IEEE demands out of your source,
we have registered for use of a new IEEE tool, the IEEE PDF eXpress™.
IEEE PDF eXpress is a free service to IEEE conferences,
allowing their authors to check for IEEE Xplore® compatibility
of PDFs that authors have made themselves (PDF
Check function) or to make IEEE Xplore®-compatible
PDFs through source upload (Conversion
function).
Please follow the steps below to complete
the final paper submission process:
1) Create your manuscript(s)
2) Proofread and check layout of manuscript (it
is highly recommended that you do this BEFORE going to IEEE PDF
eXpress.)
3) Create IEEE PDF eXpress account
Use Conference ID: contel05.
Click on the image to connect to IEEE PDF eXpress™
or
use the link below
[ http://216.228.1.34/pdfexpress/log.asp
]
4) Upload source file(s) for Conversion; and/or
PDF(s) for Checking
5) Use IEEE PDF eXpress to attain IEEE Xplore-compatible
PDF(s). The site contains extensive instructions, resources, helpful
hints, and access to technical support.
Be aware that IEEE PDF eXpress is just
PDF checking or creating service, but not a conference paper submission
place.
6) Submit final, IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF(s)
through Web upload by final submission
deadline.
Papers failing to meet the IEEE Xplore®
PDF requirements can not be included in the conference proceedings!
3. NOTES ON WEB UPLOAD
