The authors are also kindly requested to register (see instructions
below)
their papers as soon as possible this can be done any time before
download), and preferably by January 24, 2003. For registering
the paper, you need to enter paper title, abstract, keywords,
and list of authors, as well as contact author information.
You can then upload the paper any time until February 7, 2003.
All submissions and reviews are handled through
EDAS Conference Management System. Before proceeding to on-line
submission, please read the instructions below.

PAPER UPLOAD INSTRUCTIONS -- PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
Before submitting a paper, you will have to create an account
with the system. This is done only once.
1. CREATING AN ACCOUNT
Once you get the initial page, you will be given a choice of
logging in (using an existing account) or creating a new account.
To create a new account, follow the link to "creating a
new account", fill in all the requested data and click
on "New user". Make sure you use the correct e-mail
address, since your password will be e-mailed to you. From now
on, you can access the system by using this account.
2. SUBMITTING A PAPER
You may submit any number of papers by using the same account.
First, you will have to log in. Once you enter the system, you
will see a list of active conferences. By clicking on View (magnifying
glass icon) next to ConTEL 2003, you will access your personal
view page which enables you to see your profile and submit your
paper(s).
Submitting papers is a two-step
process: you first register your paper and are then provided
with a URL where you can upload the paper.
When registering a paper,
you will need to enter the following data:
a. author(s) name(s)
b. title of the paper
c. abstract of the paper (have a plain text abstract ready to
copy in here!)
d. topic area (check all that apply)
e. track "ConTEL 2003" for regular papers, "ConTEL
2003 student papers" for short papers.
Click on "Submit" once you're done.
You will then be provided with a URL where you can upload
the paper. Use "Browse" button to
select the file containing your paper. Click on "Upload"
to start uploading the paper (this may take a while, depending
on your file size). Accepted file formats are PDF,
PS, and MS Word. MS Word users
can convert their papers to pdf by using http://createpdf.adobe.com
is a free service that can convert Word to PDF. Finally, if
all goes well, you will receive an e-mail notification that
the paper has been successfully uploaded. Also, going back to
your personal view (Home/View) you will be able to see (all)
paper(s) that you submitted.
This EDAS system has been used in a number of conferences and
is known to work well. You should not have any problems by following
the instructions above. There is also on-line Help built into
the system (balloon Help icon).
