Special Session on Connected Health Technologies (COHEAT 2017)

Scope and background
The second edition of the International Workshop on Connected Health Technologies (COHEAT 2017), organized as a Special Session within the program of the 14th International Conference on Telecommunications (ConTEL 2017), is dedicated to the dissemination of original contributions to new technology-enabled models of healthcare delivery. A key feature of Connected Health is the potential to bring the patient into the management of their own care, through timely provision of relevant, health-related information and feedback. The event is organized in the framework of the COST Action TD1405 European Network for the Joint Evaluation of Connected Health Technologies (ENJECT).
Topics of interest
The focus of this workshop is on new organizational structures, architectures, methods, techniques, protocols, components and tools related to the Connected Health Technologies. These may include, but are not limited to the following topics:
- Connected Health aggregation and communication infrastructures
- Wireless, Digital, Electronic, Mobile, and Tele-health
- Health Management Practice and Organization
- Human-Centered interaction in Connected Health Environments
- Software Engineering for Connected Health
- Connected Health Architectures and Platforms
- Challenges and opportunities for Software-as-a-Medical Device
- Key applications domains
- Business Models and Markets.
Paper submission
Prospective authors are invited to submit novel, previously unpublished full papers (up to 8 pages), addressing the topics of interest, for consideration for the special session. For paper formatting, style, and submission guidelines and deadlines, please refer to the Information for Authors. All papers submitted to the special session will be peer-reviewed according to the rules for the ConTEL conference.
Accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases.
